Revitalising Blackwattle Bay – Consultation Process

Revitalising Blackwattle Bay – Consultation Process

Infrastructure NSW is inviting the community to provide feedback on plans that will revitalise Blackwattle Bay, deliver new open spaces and return inaccessible parts of Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Harbour to the public for the first time in decades.

With the new Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Fish Market sitting at its heart, the NSW Government is refining a plan to transform Blackwattle Bay into a stunning waterfront destination where Å·ÃÀÊÓƵsiders will live, work, visit and love.

The NSW Government has prepared three precinct plan scenarios that illustrate how urban renewal of Blackwattle Bay could look and feel. These scenarios are designed to facilitate a conversation to inform a final precinct plan that we will submit to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment for assessment.

The scenarios, which are based on the work that Government has done to date, show some ways in which Blackwattle Bay might be revitalised. They illustrate different land use mixes, open space arrangements and waterfront promenade designs, and street and building layouts. While each scenario has a set of common features, they also explore unique elements that we want your feedback on.

The Government is now calling on the community to provide feedback on the three scenarios which will help inform a final precinct plan. There will be further opportunity for public comment through the statutory process once the final precinct plan has been developed and submitted to the DPIE for assessment.

Consultation closes 5pm Friday 19 June 2020
